
Day One Highlights of the 6th Constituency Session



The opening day of the 6th Constituency Session of the Western India Union (WIU) commenced with heartfelt enthusiasm and a spirit of unity. Delegates and invitees arrived from across WIU churches, schools, sections, conferences, and regions, registering themselves and receiving identity cards along with essential materials such as files, notepads, and pens.
Before the official program began, WIU President *Pr. Anil Kandane* gathered the entire office staff for a brief time of guidance and prayer, setting a reverent tone for the day. The congregation was soon uplifted by inspiring worship led by the Union’s singing team, preparing hearts for the proceedings ahead.
The session formally opened with a warm welcome from the WIU Secretary, who greeted the delegates and acknowledged the significance of this gathering. Distinguished guests included **Pr. C.H. John Victor**, President of the Southern Asia Division (SUD), accompanied by his wife, **Mrs. Krupa Victor**. In keeping with tradition, they were honored with shawls and floral bouquets. Presidents of various units were also recognized and presented with bouquets, while delegates received roses as a symbol of fellowship and appreciation.
The Treasurer, **Eld. Chandrashekar V**, together with Executive Secretary **Pr. Sachin Waghmare**, addressed the assembly, introducing the committees entrusted with ensuring the smooth functioning of the constituency meetings. This was followed by a moving rendition of the theme song by the WIU office staff, reinforcing the spirit of mission and unity.
President **Pr. Anil Kandane**, with translation by **Pr. David Autade**, shared a powerful biblical message centered on three key points: the importance of being grounded in Scripture, remaining focused on the mission, and reflecting on the vision of *One Voice 27*. The message concluded with a dedicatory prayer, committing the constituency to God’s guidance.
Practical announcements regarding accommodation and transportation were shared by Eld. Chandrashekar, ensuring delegates were well-informed. The day concluded with a blessed fellowship meal prepared by the Food Committee, fostering camaraderie among participants.
The first day of the 6th WIU Constituency was marked by worship, vision, and dedication—a reminder to remain rooted in the Word and steadfast in the mission entrusted to us.
Day Two Highlights of the 6th Constituency of WIU




Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. With joy and gratitude, we recount the remarkable blessings experienced during the second day of the constituency meetings. Truly, the Spirit of the Lord was present throughout the day, guiding every activity and fellowship.
The morning began with a delightful breakfast, followed by uplifting congregational singing led by the men of the Western India Union. A special highlight was the melodious Telugu song rendered by Mrs. Krupa Victor, which set a reverent tone for the devotional message. The message was delivered by Pr. John Victor, President of the Southern Asia Division, who emphasized the importance of being grounded in the Bible, focused on the mission, and living out the calling of being Christians. Tokens of love in the form of shawls and bouquets were then presented to Pr. Ujwal Kandane, Executive Secretary of the SUD, and Dr. Milon Rana, Vice Chancellor of Spicer Adventist University, Pune.
The business session commenced with the presentation of reports by the three officers of the WIU: the President’s report by Pr. Anil Kandane, the Executive Secretary’s report by Pr. Sachin Waghmare, and the Treasury report by Mr. Chandrashekhar V. Comments from the floor were welcomed and graciously addressed by the officers. Reports from constituent units followed, beginning with the Central Maharashtra Conference, whose president shared a comprehensive account of God’s leading during 2021–2025, acknowledging the contributions of past officers. The Gujarat Conference president also presented an inspiring report of the Lord’s blessings over the same period.
Subsequently, under the leadership of Pr. John Victor and Pr. Ujwal Kandane, the Nominating Committee was formed. Delegates were divided into groups to prayerfully select representatives for leadership positions in the upcoming quinquennium. At midday, the session paused for a delicious lunch prepared by the Food Committee, which provided a time of fellowship and refreshment.
In the afternoon, the Mumbai Metro Section report was presented by Pr. Nandulal Khare. Following this, the newly elected presidents were announced: Pr. Sahebrao Khandagle (North Maharashtra), Pr. Rakesh Chavan (South Maharashtra), Pr. Sumeet Borge (Mumbai Metro), Pr. Minish Gamit (South Gujarat, Secretary), and Pr. Solomon Borge (Vidarbha Region). Secretaries and treasurers were also chosen, including Pr. Sudhir Bhosale and others, ensuring strong leadership across all sections.
The day concluded with a devotional message by Pr. Sachin Waghmare, Executive Secretary of WIU, once again reinforcing the theme “Grounded in the Bible and Focused on the Mission.” With translation by Pr. Sumeet Borge, the theme song was sung, prayers were offered, and light refreshments were served. Joyful congratulations, warm embraces, and photographs marked the spirit of unity and celebration as the second day came to a blessed close.
Day 3 Highlights of the 6th Constituency Meetings of the WIU




The third day of the 6th Constituency Meetings of the Western India Union (WIU) was marked by a spirit of devotion, fellowship, and purposeful deliberation. The day commenced with a vibrant song service led by the Marathi pastors, setting a tone of reverence and unity. Adding to the spiritual atmosphere, Mrs. Krupa Victor rendered a melodious Hindi song that touched the hearts of the congregation. This was followed by a devotional message delivered by Pastor Ujwal Kandane, inspiring delegates to reflect on their calling and commitment to service.
Parallel to the morning worship, the Nominating Committee convened to prayerfully deliberate on the selection of executive members for the WIU, as well as the committee members who would guide the Union’s work in the coming years. Meanwhile, Dr. Wilson took the pulpit to lead the Bible study, enriching the assembly with deep insights from Scripture. His message provided spiritual grounding for the day’s proceedings.
A significant highlight was the release of the Morning Devotional Watch Book for the year by Pastor Peterson Sable. In addition, Amazing Facts, in collaboration with WIU, launched a book authored by Pastor Michael Pedrin from the USA, further strengthening the spiritual resources available to members. The morning session also featured the presentation of business reports by Pastor Rakesh Chavan, President of the South Maharashtra Section, offering a comprehensive overview of the section’s progress and initiatives.
Before breaking for lunch, a group photograph was taken, capturing the presence of all delegates and invitees. A special photo session was also organized for the WIU Executive Committee members, symbolizing unity and shared responsibility. Delegates then enjoyed a delicious meal, fostering fellowship and informal exchanges.
The afternoon session resumed with a Marathi bhajan presented by the pastors, followed by business reports from Pastor Solomon Borge, President of the North Maharashtra Section. The Nominating Committee then returned with the proposed names for the WIU Executive Committee members and also displaying the names of the various sections presidents , secretaries and treasurer too

The day concluded with a solemn consecration service. Dr. Laban Rao offered the opening prayer, while the WIU staff presented a special message in song. Pastor Jon Victor delivered the consecration message, with Pastor Sumeet Borge providing translation. Blessings were pronounced by Pastor Ujwal Kandane, and the session closed with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Pastor Anil Kandane.
With this, the 6th Constituency Meetings of the Western India Union were officially declared closed for the year 2025, leaving delegates inspired and committed to advancing the mission of the church in Western India Union.
